Padang TIME – Anggun Agni Zaus, a Padang State University student, won first place in the Vlog competition for students and students throughout Indonesia.
This competition was held by the Research Center for Climate Change (RCCC) Universitas Negeri Padang in commemoration of Earth Day 2022 which falls on April 22.
The competition, which aims to raise awareness and a more intensive understanding among the younger generation of the risks and consequences of climate change, which is and will continue to occur globally, has been open for registration and video submission of the competition since mid-March 2022.
“This competition throughout Indonesia was attended by dozens of state and private universities such as IAIN Batusangkar, Padang State University, UIN Raden Fatah Pelembang, Teuku Umar University, University of Indonesia and several SMA/SMTA equivalents in West Sumatra,” said the Head of RCCC UNP, Dr. Nofi Yendri Sudiar, M.Sc.
“From dozens of videos that were submitted, the committee finally determined 13 winners consisting of first to third place winners, and 10 videos that attracted the attention of the jury the most.
The vlogs that are contested have been assessed by a jury consisting of climate practitioners from reputable and competent national institutions, academics who focus on researching climate problems and phenomena, as well as strategic communication experts,” said Member of the Division of Dissemination, Publication and Downstreaming of UNP RCCC Research, Mairizwan, M.Si.
The complete list of winners is as follows: 1st place, Anggun Agni Zaus and friends (UNP), 2nd place, Bima Aristo (University of Indonesia), 3rd place, Nurul Halimah (UNP). While the 10 interesting works of the Jury are: Oziy Hendra Wijaya, Puti Tiara Dewi, Anggi Tri Wiguna, Muhammad Farhan, Patrisio Bimantara, Indah Utari, Nurul Fauziah, Nabila Nurhafizhah, Dian Nurvamaida, and Cyndi Afriyanti.
The first winner is entitled to a cash prize of Rp. 1.200.000, – 2nd place winner gets Rp. 800,000, – and the 3rd place winner gets Rp. 500,000, -. While the 10 most interesting vlogs received consolation prizes in the form of gopay vouchers worth Rp. 100,000, -.
“The committee has congratulated directly via telephone with all participants, and all the works that have been registered become the property of the committee.
The committee has the right to use the vlog work for scientific purposes while still including the credit for uploading the video, the jury’s decision is absolute and cannot be contested. (pt)
